Brock Lesnar re-signs with WWE, will never go behind to UFC
March 25, 2015 - WWE
Brock Lesnar announced Tuesday that he will never go behind to a UFC and has sealed a multiyear agreement to stay with a WWE.
“I’m strictly shutting a doorway on MMA,” Lesnar, a WWE heavyweight champion, told ESPN’s Michelle Beadle. “It was hard. I re-signed (Monday) night with a WWE. We came to a finish final night. The offer on a table, we only could not refuse.”
“It was a unequivocally tough preference for me,” Lesnar told Beadle. “The warrior inside of me wants to compete. I’m an comparison caveman now so we make wiser caveman decisions, so I’m here to contend that my bequest in a octagon is over. My bequest this Sunday in Wrestlemania will not be my last. It was a tough preference to make. It took me a year to make. At a finish of a day it’s all about me wanting to have fun.”
Lesnar’s agreement with WWE was ostensible to finish after his coming on subsequent Monday’s WWE Raw. Speculation had been going on for months Lesnar could presumably leave WWE and conduct behind to a UFC. That conjecture strong when, after a assembly with WWE authority Vince McMahon, Lesnar walked out of Raw, in that he was ostensible to appear. Five days after that, Lesnar seemed during UFC 184 and was shown articulate with UFC boss Dana White.
Lesnar, 37, pronounced he ultimately realized he had zero to benefit by going to a competition where he degraded Randy Couture in his third UFC quarrel to turn universe heavyweight champion. He certified he wrestled with the decision for a while.
“For a final dual months I’ve been training, I’ve been training to get behind in a octagon,” Lesnar said. “I felt physically great, though something lacked mentally. That’s not good. we talked to Dana, we talked to (UFC authority and CEO) Lorenzo (Fertitta), we talked to my wife, we talked to my friends. we had many excited nights on what to do. At a finish of a day, it weighed heavily in my heart (that) we was innate to be an entertainer. we have fun doing it.
“I could go behind to a octagon, (but) what am we going to gain? I was a UFC heavyweight champion of a world. Due to my illness my career got cut brief and that’s God’s revelation we it’s time to pierce on. As years went by it wore on me so most that in a warrior inside of me didn’t wish it finish that way. we didn’t wish to leave a UFC on a losing streak. That’s only a rival man inside me.”
Lesnar left a UFC after his first-round detriment to Alistair Overeem during UFC 141 in Dec 2011. He returned to WWE a day after Wrestlemania 28 in Apr 2012.
“I am unequivocally happy with where we am during with WWE,” Lesnar said.
